How Licenses Work

iAcademy licenses work on a one-to-one student ratio. Purchase one license for each student who will be using an iAcademy title in a given school year or term.

Licenses purchased for a given school year* expire on June 30th of that school year. Licenses are non-transferable and non-concurrent.

If making a multi-year purchase, note that licenses purchased for each year must be used in that school year. Unused licenses do not carry over to subsequent school years.

For Example:

An instructor is teaching 100 students in their Computer Applications course in the 2016-2017 school year.

  • 50 students are registered for the Fall 2016 semester
  • 50 students are registered for the Spring 2017 semester

Since each student will need their own license (i.e. one license to one student), the instructor will need to purchase a total of 100 licenses.

In the above example, the licenses would expire on June 30, 2017 (the end of the 2016-2017 school year).

*A school year is defined with a start date of July 1, 20XX and an end date of June 30, 20XX.
